It's very quiet and much more energy efficient than the 10 year old one that it replaced. Connecting it to a drainage line into my sump pump well was very easy and secure. It usually runs 4 hrs before filling up & shutting itself off. I cannot believe HOW effective it is. I shopped around reading reviews/recommendations online for 2 wks before purchasing this model. We are so satisfied. I also searched the web for the lowest price with shipping and this site was the best price around. Thrilled with this purchase! I have had 3 in the past 15 years and this is the fourth and by far the best. It is fairly quiet compared with the others and easier to empty the water reservoir.
